The 6th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference: Digging In brings together professionals in food services, farmers, educators, government agencies, non-profits and others to discuss the common goal of using healthy, local food to build stronger communities, individuals and farms.
Cultivating Sustainable Agriculture Education Conference: Growing a Collaborative Legacy (8/4-8/5)
The 4th National Sustainable Agriculture Education Association's conference will be co-hosted by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, UK Sustainable Agriculture Program and the Virginia Tech Civic Agriculture and Food Systems Program. The conference will be held on the University of Kentucky's campus in Lexington where they will discuss the means of achieving agricultural sustainability through education. The conference will be held on August 4th and 5th.
Seeding the Future: Farms, Gardens and the Liberal Arts (10/14-10/15)
Dickinson College will host their "Seeding the Future" conference on October 14-15 on Dickinson's campus and at their farm in nearby Boiling Springs. The conference will include speakers from schools with well known farming and gardening programs. The conference will discuss the use of college farms and gardens to enhance students experience at higher education institutions. The deadline for registration is September 30.
