This webinar will discuss strategies in the Human Resources subcategory of AASHE’s STARS program, in particular sustainable compensation. As a case study, representatives from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro will present along with representatives from AASHE.
5th Annual Sustainable Agriculture Education Association Conference (9/9-9/10)
Hosted by Oregon State University, this year’s Sustainable Agriculture Education Association Conference will focus on the topic of “The Campus Food System: A Learning Laboratory.” Sustainable agriculture educators and students are invited to discuss and innovate ways in which campus food systems can promote student involvement and understanding of sustainable food.
Arboriculture Short Course on Managing Campus Landscapes (9/11)
Oregon State University will be hosting a one-day conference in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on September 11, 2012. The conference will focus on the management and care of trees on Campuses in the Pacific Northwest.
ACUPCC Southeast Regional Symposium (11/8-11/9)
ACUPCC Regional Collaborative Symposiums are held twice a year to facilitate dialogue on specific implementation solutions for the ACUPCC among presidents and chancellors and their sustainability staffs, including sustainability coordinators, facilities directors, faculty, and others. The Fall 2012 Regional Symposium will focus on the Southeast region hosted by Agnes Scott College.
AASHE: Investing in the Future 2012 Conference and Expo (10/14-10/17)
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) will host its annual conference and expo October 14-17 in Los Angeles, CA. The conference will feature campus tours, a Student Summit with keynote speaker Billy Parish, and workshops including "Campus Recycling & Zero Waste" and "Communicating Sustainability to Create Change." New this year, the conference will feature advanced sessions and an advanced track. The early bird registration rate is available through June 30.
