2013 Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (1/31-2/1)
The 2013 Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (OHESC) is a two-day event offering dialogue, networking, and training to campus professionals, faculty, and students and others that are interested or involved in campus sustainability initiatives. The conference will be hosted by Portland State University, in Portland, OR, from January 31-February 2, 2013. Registration is required.
International Conference on Business & Sustainability (11/7-11/9)
Hosted by Portland State University, this is the 6th annual conference that brings together sustainable economy thought leaders and educators, and includes both practitioner and academic forums. The 2012 International Conference on Business and Sustainability will explore scalability as a business imperative for a healthy economy, society and planet. The conference will take place on November 7, 8, and 9, 2012. Registration is required.
5th Annual Sustainable Agriculture Education Association Conference (9/9-9/10)
Hosted by Oregon State University, this year’s Sustainable Agriculture Education Association Conference will focus on the topic of “The Campus Food System: A Learning Laboratory.” Sustainable agriculture educators and students are invited to discuss and innovate ways in which campus food systems can promote student involvement and understanding of sustainable food.
Portland Community College: Summer Sustainability Institute (7/9-7/13)
Portland Community College will present a week long Summer Sustainability Institute that offers participants beginner/intermediate-level training focused on residential design, building construction, interior design, landscaping, performance codes, and facilities maintenance technology. Experts share new advances in green building and lead activities on a variety of sustainability issues, including integrated design planning, residential green building and remodeling, energy and water efficiency, affordability, and changing industry standards. The Institute will conclude with a one-day summit on Friday August 24th.
Finance for Sustainability: Innovative Strategies for Public and Private Organizations (6/3)
